There is New Hope in the New Birth

Pulling them Down

One cannot pull down strongholds while allowing his imaginations free reign.Casting down imaginations

(2 Cor 10:4)

One cannot expect to take one’s own thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ when he surrounds himself with the amplified thoughts of others telling him what to think. (2 Cor 10:5)

One cannot “think on these things” while filling his mind with everything contrary to those things.  (Phil 4:8)

One cannot look on things “that are not seen” and “eternal” while focusing all of one’s attention on “things that are seen” and are “temporal.”  (2 Cor 4:18)

One cannot set their affections on things above while pursuing the lusts of the flesh, the lusts of the eyes and the pride of life.  Col 3:3 cf. 1 Jn 2:15-17)

One cannot be filled with the peace that passes understanding while dwelling on fear.  (Phil 4:6,7 cf. 2 Tim 1:7; 1 Jn 4:18)

One cannot have fellowship with the Prince and Lord of Peace while being informed by the father of lies, the prince of this world who had blinded the minds of them who do not believe.

For what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?

Or what communion hath light with darkness?

(Isa 9:6; Jn 14:27; 2 Thes 3:16; cf. 2 Cor 6:14-17)

One cannot love while they are wallowing in hatred.  (1 Jn 4:20)

One cannot hope while being overwhelmed by the despair of the world.

(Rom 5:2-5; 12:12; 15:4,13; Gal 5:5; Eph 1:18; 2:12; Col 1:27; 1 Thes 1:3; 4:13; 5:8; 2 Thes 2:16; 1 Tim 1:1; Heb 6:11,18,19; 1 Pt 1:3,13,21; 3:15; 1 Jn 3:3)

One cannot be transformed by the renewing of the mind while filling the mind with the filth that conforms it to the world.  (Rom 12:2)

One cannot draw nigh to God without submitting to Him, resisting the devil, cleansing one’s hands, purifying one’s heart, being single in one’s mind, and being humble.  (James 4:7-10)

One cannot be humble while speaking evil of another. (James 4:11)

One simply cannot meditate in the law of the Lord while consistently being influenced, informed, directed, fed and otherwise educated by the ungodly, sinners and scorners on a daily hour by hour basis!

Psalm 1:1,2

(1)  Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

(2)  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Time for some serious detox!!!!
